Inc., a leader in digital imaging and office solutions, today introduced the latest additions to its award-winning imageFORMULA DR-Series scanners – the imageFORMULA DR-2510M and DR-2010M desktop scanners. These new scanners represent the first fully Mac-compatibleI high-speed document scanners from Canon. These new models are ideal for the varied document capture needs of creative professionals, educational and scientific users, and Small Office / Home Office (SOHO) businesses alike. Bundled Mac-compatible software, such as Canon CaptureOnTouch enables one-touch scanning directly to e-mail, printers, shared network folders, and applications such as iPhoto for easy transfer of images to an iPhone. The sophisticated driver and software bundle complements the DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanning hardware to provide users with complete, end-to-end image capture solutions and easier integration into existing workflows. With a sleek look in a small package that Mac users prefer, the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanners are a creative way to maximize available office space and boost productivity. The DR-2510M and DR-2010M models provide fast color scanning, at speeds up to 25 pages-per-minute (ppm) simplex/50 images-per-minute (ipm) duplex, and 20ppm simplex/40ipm duplex, respectivelyII. Superb image quality is maintained with advanced imaging features derived from decades of Canon experience, such as Advanced Text Enhancement, Color Dropout, and Auto Color Detection, as well as resolution up to 600 dots-per-inch (dpi), so documents can be accurately scanned to maintain their fundamental creative values. Helping to maximize productivity and operator convenience, the Canon imageFORMULA DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanners include several features to help ensure reliable and smooth operation such as Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection (only on the DR-2510M), Automatic Page Size Detection, and Text Orientation Recognition. In addition, both models are designed with a slant paper path that allows for smooth scanning of a wide variety of documents, including thick documents, multisheet forms, driver licenses and embossed plastic cards. These features reduce user presorting and preparation time, as well as unnecessary downtime and maintenance. The DR-2510M and DR-2010M scanners have been designed with Canon's initiative to take an environmentally and people-conscious approach to product design and lifecycle.
