Canon Group Donates $168,000 To Chile Following the Devastating Earthquake

(Lake Success, NY) - The Canon Group, including Canon Inc., Canon U.S.A., Inc., Canon Latin America, Inc. and Canon Chile S.A., today announced that they have pledged approximately $168,000 (15 million yen) to relief efforts for Chile, following the powerful earthquake that struck the country on February 27, 2010, causing extensive damage and loss of life.

To aid in the relief efforts for the earthquake victims, The Canon Group is making the donation through Red Cross Organizations.

"The Canon Group would like to offer our support to the people of Chile and our thoughts are with all of those that have been affected by this disaster," said Joe Adachi, president and chief executive officer, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "We believe support from the global community will help Chile emerge from this tragedy as it begins the rebuilding and healing process."
